All Leganto Links Redirect to New UI

January 2025 Leganto URM-231073 SF: 07271464

Once your institution has switched to the new UI (Configuration > Leganto > General > Settings and set the parameter leganto_new_ui to true), all links are now redirected to the new UI. Any links that previously directed users to the old UI are now automatically directed to the new UI. It is also no longer possible to manually change the URL to see the classic UI.

Display Public Access Model Message in Leganto

For libraries that work with Public Access Models, when the Public access model field is configured in the portfolio (Electronic Portfolio Editor > Acquisition tab), the Public Access Model is now visible on the citation in Leganto.

Menus Redesigned to Include Icons and Separators

To improve usability, each menu list now includes icons next to each action and separators between action categories.

Additional Enhancements

• January 2025 Fulfillment and Resource Sharing URM-232431 The Citation System Tags field was added to the Citations folder in the following subject areas. This field displays all tags not mapped to a tag type, including tags added from the integration with the UK Digital Content Store and possibly tags added from the Leganto Questions feature.

• January 2025 Leganto URM-218331 For Norwegian customers using the Bolk integration, the Lock Bolk requests list menu action in the new UI was replaced with the Bolk clearance action.

  

  Selecting Bolk clearance opens the Bolk clearance window. Users can use the Review and finalize in Bolk button to open Bolk and finalize their requests in Bolk, rather than the previous option to lock requests in Leganto.

  

  After finalizing in Bolk, the Bolk clearance screen updates to Finalized in Bolk.

• January 2025 Leganto URM-230739 The Clarivate cookie banner is now presented when logging in to the Leganto new UI. Users can set their cookie preferences.

  

• January 2025 Fulfillment and Resource Sharing URM-192949 SF: 06737730 The Year facet is now displayed in a logical order.

  • When users attempt to access a list in Student preview mode, the error is now displayed using the new UI design.

    

  • The Leganto new UI default login screen now reflects the new UI look and feel.

  • When selecting an action, a loading indication icon is now displayed on the action buttons to indicate to the user that the action is being executed.
